In 2005 Melodious Monk took it upon himself to release a project titled Ghetto Blues. This project is the first of Monk's know releases that takes listeners on a journey through the worldwide mantality of the ghetto. Monk's catolog begins here and to date "Ghetto Blues" is one of the rawest releases that collectors have found on their search through the galaxy. Some of the authentic features of this album is the in your face free spirited, poetic parables, and gritty illustrations that set a specific standard and sound for Monks music. If you are new to Monk's music your journey begins here. Take a trip through poverty stricken streets and broken drug infested windows of the world. Walk beside death uknowingly as he gathers his offspring while slaves of his wrath battle to break free from his grip.

Ghetto Blues is not a sunny day in the park it's dark and it's very realistic. This release can be downloaded digitally (Here) but if you are a collector of Monk's art you can now get your hands on a physical copy for the first time exclusively. Two of the exclusive covers are very easy to find but the original "Ghetto Blues" album cover was released as a limited hand crafted (100) copy edition in New York and will never be reproduced so it is extremely rare.

Melodious Monk introduced to the human race his understanding of the word "GUNS". When this offering was found floating around March 28, 2007 located in Japan. Officials yearned to sabotage all evidence of its existence but sadly failed because of the growth of the World Wide Web and independent retailers that kept the very rear recorded documentary titled "GUNS". Melodious Monks album "GUNS" is a clever glimpse into the harsh realities of life, and the effects that the common perils can result in. Dark scenic production, punchy lyrical content, and realistic subject matter are held within these pistols.

Guns was originally released in Japan, and slowly made it's way to the U.S. This is the second recording within Monk's catolog that follows the journey that was created after the rlease of Ghetto Blues. Guns is known for the introduction to the symbolic language created by the Monk's called "Imbakwa". Their are three exclusive covers that were created for "GUNS". The original cover was created in Japan by artist other than Monk and the second and third can be found in the galaxy.

Monk created a style of word play that is more of a play on words and illustrative riddles at the same time. To understand the "Imbakwa" language Monk has been slowly explaining the basis to his family so that they can understand his hidden messages. Slanging Nouns gives you a chance to roam through the proffesion that Monk created for himself which is "Slangin Nouns". Monk is a drug dealer, and the substance of music is being distrubuted daily by Monk. Melodious Teams up with the young gifted "Cali" based producer "Tranzformer" to create his first (EP) for 2012 and as a year goal for Monk he wanted to travel the world musicly so his second stop for the year 2012 is San Diego.

Tranzformer has been creating some of the most classic beats for the past few years and Monk and Tranzformer originally met after the release of "GUNS" on myspace. Ever since they have built a collabrotive relationship that has grown into the release of "Slanging Nouns".
